The Challenge:

The challenge for Lions Creative was to build a full-fledged website to showcase Michelle’s hand-crafted goodies to both potential wholesale customers as well as local consumers on a platform that could eventually incorporate e-commerce options.

Michelle’s Bakery, located in North Carolina, was in need of a website in order to grow and reach new customers. Michelle’s grew into the company they are now without a website - having only a landing page with minimum contact information and the words ‘Coming Soon.’

The challenge for Lions Creative was to build a full-fledged website to showcase Michelle’s hand-crafted goodies to both potential wholesale customers as well as local consumers on a platform that could eventually incorporate e-commerce options.

Scaleability was key.

Diving right in, LC began with market research on Michelle’s potential competitors - Wanting to ensure Michelle’s website not only stood out in the crowded market, but also outperformed it's competitors.

First item on the agenda: Photographing Michelle’s catalog of items in a way that shows the care and detail that goes into each and every treat and sweet they have to offer. LC’s photography gurus went to work and created beautifully curated product photography that would be perfect for the new site - but also usable for future social campaigns.

With the new product photography in hand, LC’s web development created the initial design concept of a super clean, easy to navigate website layout. Incorporating Webflow’s CMS platform, each delicious bakery item has an individual page complete with photography, nutritional information, an ingredients list, and social share buttons.

The end result is a minimal, modern, scaleable website in which the photography speaks to the quality products created by the team at Michelle’s Bakery - all of which is ready for e-commerce in just a few clicks.
